Because of its scope and size, Wellington Farm USA must rely heavily upon volunteers to fill all the work stations. Anyone who is willing to spend a few hours in the fresh air and a friendly environment is cordially invited to come and help. Jobs can range anywhere from a couple hours gardening or painting to a long-term construction project. Volunteers are needed to mow lawns, clerk in the store, care for animals, help with farming or just talking with guests.
Volunteer Interpreters
One of the strongest points of the Wellington Farm USA experience is its’ interpretive program. It’s also the most fun, interesting and rewarding opportunities the farm has for volunteers. All that is needed is a commitment to a schedule, dress in period dress and talk with visitors. Some learning is necessary but volunteer interpreters are offered an opportunity to attend classes to learn the techniques of the job.
